About the Site

The new DougieMartin.com website has been created to honour the Godfather of Soul, Dougie Martin.

The late Dougie Martin, often called 'The Godfather of Dundee Soul' entertained audiences of all ages for over fifty years and has been such a great influence on so many generations of musicians and singers it would be almost impossible to count them all.

Dougie Martin's new-look website is for his ex-band-members (of which there were hundreds) and fans of his music - a place to upload and share photos of Dougie's bands, add blogs of memorable music nights with Dougie, and of course, to listen to the sound of Dougie Martin's music.

 A very special word of thanks to the writers and producers of Dougie's music who have kindly donated the 'sales rights' of their work to the DougieMartin.com website and its fund-raising efforts.
